What is microneedling?
Microneedling, also called Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), or more commonly, the vampire facial, uses a device to create micro-wounds in the dermis. These micro-injuries trigger the body’s natural healing process, producing new collagen and elastin. The result is improved skin texture and laxity and a reduction in the appearance of wrinkles, stretch marks and, acne scars. These channels allow Hyaluronic Acid or our bodies’ own PRP to be driven deep into the dermis, increasing the skins utilization of nutrients by up to 3000%.

What can I expect during treatments?
The needles create tiny punctures in the skin and initiate the fibroblasts while healing to produce more collagen. Therefore, Microneedling kickstarts your body’s natural collagen production process to create smooth, hydrated skin. The doctor will apply a topical numbing cream before treatment begins to improve your comfort level.
What can I expect from the results?
Within a few days of receiving Microneedling your skin will begin to look and appear brighter. For best results, a series of three treatments every 4 – 6 weeks is recommended. While you cannot lose the results gained from your initial series unfortunately our skin continues to age and maintenance treatments every three to six months will continue to show your initial results.
What to expect after treatment?
Your skin may feel warm and tight and look red for one to three days. During this period, use a delicate cleanser and moisturizer as needed to soothe skin irritation. Avoid swimming, strenuous exercise and excessive sun exposure immediately after.
